CAVATINA runs a Ticket Scheme that allows young people (those aged 8 to 25, inclusive) to access world-class chamber music performances for free at venues around the U.K.
On top of these chamber music concerts that young people can attend for free, CAVATINA organises its own series of Family Concerts and performances in educational establishments.
From the outset, CAVATINA's outreach work was supported by a great number of professional ensembles working in the U.K. Names such as the Belcea Quartet, Chilingirian Quartet, Florestan Trio, Vanburgh Quartet, and Wihan Quartet were delighted to visit schools with the view of attracting young people to their concerts.
CAVATINA believes that the ability to undertake effective outreach work is an essential dimension for successful chamber musicians seeking to develop new audiences. These ensembles are always welcome visitors in the schools they visit and are known and loved on a personal basis.
CAVATINA promotes about 60 concerts a year in schools and public venues. These interactive concerts bring chamber music to young people in an accessible way, giving them a taste of some of the most beautiful music in the world, played by professional groups of the highest quality.
CAVATINA Friends are the lifeblood of our organisation. We have many generous Friends without whom we could not maintain the same number of school programmes, family activities, and the CAVATINA Ticket Scheme.
Become a CAVATINA Friend and enjoy the membership of a unique 'Club' of chamber music lovers.
If you'd like to get to know so of the music you might hear in chamber music concerts, you can use our suggested playlists on Spotify to start your journey. Needless to say, there's always more wonderful music to listen to - and different ensembles can play the pieces in very different ways.
And if you'd like to see some of our CAVATINA ensembles in action, have a look at our YouTube videos, which features some of their work.
